Work Plan
- The plan is to perform scientific research studies in Prostate Disease.
Three research studies have been conducted:
The first entitled ‘‘The Clinicopathologic Patterns of Prostatic Diseases and Prostate Cancer in Saudi Arabia’’
The second entitled ‘‘Prostate Inflammation: Association with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Prostate Cancer’’
- Published in Saudi Med J 2009; Vol 30 (12): 1563-1567
The third is being finalized prior to publication.
2) Holding scientific seminars:
The first seminar was held on Saturday 12/4/2009G corresponding to 16/ 4/1430 H. It attended by Dr. Mostafa Alhelali, Chair Consultant of Ahmed Hasan Fetaihi Chair for Prostate Disease Researches. The projects were presented by the following:
- Dr. Hesham Ahmed Mawsely.
- Dr. Faten Salah Qazaz.
- Dr. Mahmoud Abdulmaguid Yaseen.
- Dr. Salah Gharib Attia.
- Dr. Ashraf Bahieddeen Abdulnaem.
- Dr. Taha Abulmagd.
- Dr. Alaa Eldeen Khedr.
- Dr. Mohsen Afouna.
- Dr. Mohamed Ayman Elzahabi.
There were comments on projects; some of them were studied again and amended to be in agreement with the objectives of the scientific chair.
The second seminar was held in January 2010 corresponding to/ Safar1431 H. The Chair consultants invited were :
Dr. Mustafa Alhelali from McGill University, Canada.
Dr. Kurtis Nickel from Queens University, Canada.
3) Founding Specialized Laboratories:
3 Specialized laboratories were prepared in all the fields related to the researches of the Chair:
- Clinical Microbiology (Diagnostics section).
- Pharmaceutical Microbiology (researches on bacteria).
- Pharmacology (for the researches on rats and prostate cells).
