Program Goals:

  • The provision of scientific personnel in the field of natural products to provide the educational and research institutions and national qualified cadres.
  • Enrich the scientific concepts in the field of natural products and so p NP saliva activated scientific research and conducting studies and research on medicinal and aromatic plants and toxic Kingdom.
  • The supply of highly qualified personnel with the pharmaceutical industry involved in the pharmaceutical industry dependent on the wealth of plant kingdom and is involved in solving the problems of drug manufacturing.
  • Pharmacy preparing cadres qualified to oversee the research centers in the Kingdom and the pharmaceutical industry in Saudi Arabia to develop research.

 

Importance of the program and the need for society to him:
Due to the growing importance of medicinal plants in the world and its use as an alternative to drugs synthesized as a treatment less expensive and less side effects and because of the rich Saudi Arabia different types of plants are needed urgently prepare scientific coach cadres able to study the different effects of plants Arabia and effective to provide in Pharmaceutical image suitable for the market and the Arab World

Academic requirements:
A master's degree to courses and the message requires the completion of a study of 32 credits , distributed as follows:

  • Mandatory courses - 8 credits
  • Elective courses - 16 credits
  • Master's Thesis - 8 credits

 

Acceptance conditions pertaining to the department:
Subject to the provisions in Article XV of the consolidated list of graduate studies in Saudi universities , which require the following:

The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences or Pharm.D good grade is high and have obtained an estimate of at least a very good article in the specialization of undergraduate.
The program can also accept graduates with a bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology grade at least very good and should not be passed on graduating more than five years . In addition to obtaining 450 degrees at least in the TOEFL test or equivalent approved tests. And they must pass a number of the following supplementary courses:

  1. NATURAL PRODUCTS & EVIDENCE BASED HERBAL MEDICINE-I (NP 301) Natural products and herbal medicine on the building guide-1 (NP-301)
  2. Medicinal Chemistry – 1 (PC 311) Chemistry medicine-1
  3. Anatomy (ANT P 201) Anatomy and tissue ( ت ش ص 201)
  4. Physiology (PHY P 201) functions of organs (و أ ص 201)
  5. Pharmacology (PT 311) pharmacology-1 (د س 311)

 

The trade-off between the applicants for the program:
In the case of increasing the number of applicants for the proposed number of the section is a trade-off between the applicants by holding the test and personal interview section.
